my coaching journey
I had always enjoyed training to be fit and strong but I would just go to the gym bumble around a few cardio machines and a couple of weight (very light) exercises and then stretch. In 2019 I hired a body building coach and it completely changed the game for me. I learned how to fuel my body towards my goals (no more guesswork) I had a workout program and knew what I needed to do when I went into the gym. It turns out you don’t have to do 6 hours of exercise a day to be strong and fit. A couple of hours a week will do it. I took 10 weeks off of my aerial training and just did the gym program. Do you know what happened? Despite not touching my hoop for 10 weeks, when I went back, I was stronger, my movements more efficient and moves I had been trying to do for a long time just were there.
I got qualified as a personal trainer soon after and took on my first clients, some as nutrition clients – helping them achieve their physique goals and some as pesonal training clients – helping them get confident, strong and fit in the gym.
I have been working and continuing to learn in the industry ever since. Furthering my knowledge and specialising in strength and flexibility training.
my aerial journey
From professional dancer, to renouned professional aerialist and hoop instructor
I first started aerial back in 2013, when I learnt aerial hoop and silks basics as part of my professional dance training. I fell in love with it 3 years later when I was working a dance contract in Spain and, luckily for me, there was a top aerial school just a cycle ride away. So, I spent the rest of my contract training there during the day and performing in the evenings.
I officially had the bug. I came home, I bought an aerial hoop and taught myself everything I know – not the fastest route by any means, but I have found it so valuable to discover tricks and figure out transitions for myself. It’s what makes me a great instructor. I know all the ways that a trick can go wrong, because I’ve done them all! But, I’ve also spent hours figuring out the prettiest shape or coolest pathways between moves. I continue to hone my skills to this day.
I have taught aerial hoop for the past 5 years, from beginners through to advanced, progressing my students through the levels and helping them achieve their dream tricks.
My aerial hoop specialities are:
- Dynamic Aerial Hoop
- Spin & Flares
- Flow & Choreography
- Strop & Spanset
- Act Choreography
- Strength & Conditioning

The anti-gravity program
why i created it
Whilst coaching my students, I noticed the huge difference in progression between people who only went to one class a week and those who trained multiple times a week, whether that was in the gym or via multiple aerial sessions. My personal training clients progressed much faster than those that only went to class. Understanding that paying for lessons and personal training isn’t an option for everyone, The Anti-Gravity Program was born! A program designed specifically for aerial and pole artists to build their strength and flexibility around their classes at a much more affordable price. Where they could be part of a growing community and learn about their bodies and the strength needed to unlock their dream tricks.

I often think about how I wouldn’t have stuck with or found the joy of hoop if Suzy hadn’t been my first teacher.
The best babe in the business!
